ENEPIG stands for Electroless Nickel, Electroless Palladium, and Immersion Gold.
This ROHS compliant final finish has:
- Very good solderability
- Good for gold wire bonding
- Good for aluminum wire bonding
- Low contact resistance
- Good for conductive adhesives
- Long shelf life won’t tarnish
This finish typically is a first layer of 120-240 uin of Electroless nickel followed by 2-4 uin of Electroless Palladium with a final layer of 1 uin minimum of Immersion Gold.
